La Main à la pâte

The Main à la Pâte (hand in the dough) was launched in 1996, on Georges Charpak's initiative, Nobel Prize in Physics 1992, Pierre Léna, Yves Quéré and of the Academy of Science with the aim of renewing the education of the sciences and the technology to the primary school by facilitating a teaching based on an approach of scientific investigation.

The approach recommended by The Main à la Pâte articulates scientific learnings, control of the languages and the education in the citizenship.
For that purpose, pupils of the École des Mines (French engineering school) subject to the curiosity of the classes that they accompany all year, objects and phenomena of the world which surrounds them, arousing the scientific questioning.
So, the young children of the primary education appropriate gradually operating scientific and technical concepts.

Here in the EMAC it is in March when takes place every year the "Colloque de la Main à la Pâte" (Colloquium of the Hand in the dough).
During this day, all the young participants are invited to the school to present their studios(workshops), and to discover in a playful and funny way, the mysteries of the science.

Beyond the students, the teachers, the trainers, the educational advisers, the engineers, the scientists... also participate in the various devices of accompaniment implemented(operated) this day by The Mai, à la Pâte.
