Life in our School
Located
on a 22 hectare campus containing recent buildings of high standard, Mines Albi is the most recent of the seven Schools.
The quality of the buildings is organized for the comfort and needs of researchers and students, including three lecture halls with audiovisuel and multimedia equipment for a total of 850 seats ; free-access computer rooms (24/24) with Internet access.
The School also has large classrooms, three research centers, and a documentation center located at the center of the School.
A restaurant and a cafeteria are located right on the campus. Its attractive prices and balanced meals provide students, teachers, the administrative personnel, the chance to eat and meet informally in a convivial setting.
Student housing is located partly on campus, and partly in the downtown area, either in the vicinity of the Sainte-Cecile Cathedral, or in the pedestrian area. As is the case for all the GEM schools, all student housing is furnished and equipped with telephone and television lines and Internet access.
Students have a large variety of cultural and sports infrastructures available right on campus, ranging from the « Maison des élèves » (650 square meters containing a bar, a music studio, a dance floor for parties, etc.), to sports fields, a rock climbing wall, and a weight room.
