The different paths for admission to the School !
Admission is possible at different levels. In 2011, the Ecole des Mines d’Albi-Carmaux will recruit 120 student engineers in undergraduate training and 9 experienced high-level technicians to our part-distance-learning engineering diploma course for mature students:
Admission in 1st Year (entrance level - two years of preparatory studies)
100 students will be admitted through the common entrance examination of the Ecoles des Mines of Albi, Alès, Douai and Nantes, known as the concours SPE, which is open to student having completed their second year of scientific preparatory studies in Maths, Physics, Chemistry Technology and Information Sciences (MP, PC, PSI, PT et TSI.)
Admission in third year (entrance level – after 4 years of tertiary education)
20 students will be admitted through recruitment according to qualifications for:
· holders of Master of Science, or by joining the Graduate School of the Ecoles des Mines Group (GEM) will be admitted through the “pharmacy recruitment programme"
· students who have successfully completed their 5th year of Pharmacy studies (industrial pharmacy option).
Admission as a mature student
Admission to adult education programme is open to 9 experienced higher-level technicians holding a 2-year technical diploma (BTS, DUT, DPCT of the CNAM) who can claim at least 3 years professional experience in industry.
Admission through the procedure of validation of professional experience (VPE)
It is possible to validate your experience by taking advantage of a partnership between the Ecole des Mines and other structures of the Midi-Pyrénées region.
