Conditions admission

Admission at EMAC is possible at 2 levels :

1. Admission in Year 1, also at undergraduate level, is organized at national level for students having spent 2 years in preparatory classes.
This competitive exam, called "Concours SPE", is also common with other schools and administered across France. It is conducted in French.
  • Registrations are received between the beginning of December and mid-January ; written examination is being held in April or May (depending on series) and oral examination  between mid-June / mid-July.

2. Admission on basis of past degree (AST) may be opened in Year 2 for foreign candidates with a Bachelor of Science and in Year 3, at Graduate Level, for candidates with a Master's Degree.

  • Foreign candidates must be in the final months of preparation of a Bachelor of Science or Engineering ; they should register on web site www.gemtech.fr as soon as possible and no later than beginning of December preceding contemplated admission. All details are available on this web site.
Examinations are conducted in English, in December.
Accepted candidates will have to demonstrate a sufficient proficiency of French before arrival.

A 6 to 8 weeks orientation session is organized in France, prior to actual beginning of classes, for further intensive training in French.
 
With the partner institution:

  • For double degree : our partners make a first selection. Then, the candidates are tested and have an interview with board of Gem examiners. At least the board of examiners is in session to accept or redirect the candidates.
  • Except double degree : the candidates take writing tests and have an interview with board of Gem examiners. At least the board of examiners is in session to accept or redirect the candidates.
  • Admission process takes place in the French consulate by the “Centre d’étude en France”.
Students apply on line, take an exam and have an interview. At least, EMAC gives the results.
